Home Staging for the holidays

To my home staging friends,

I have written several blogs in the past about how I use Craig's List differently than most.  I try to use catchy titles and right different appealing content in the body.  I recently wrote an ad for a Stager friend and within 3 business days she received a lead that turned into business.

I highly recommend you go to Craig's List, find your city or area, click on "Real Estate Services" at the bottom and consider writing this kind of ad:

Home Staging for the holidays - why it works

Staging is more important now more than ever.  Think about it, many people take there homes off the market during the winter time which means less competition.  Those that put there homes on the market during the winter months usually have their home decorated for the winter holidays.  I can show you how to keep your home attractive to family and friends and also make it attractive to buyers that may want to see your home.  Remember that you may only have one opportunity to impress.  Contact me for your free consultation and visit my website at Staged First Impressions

If you need help for inserting your URL without the http:// and other codes showing up on your Craig's List post simply copy and paste this code:

 <a href="http://www.stagedfirstimpressions.com">Stage First Impressions</a>

Simply add your own URL in the first section and add what you want viewers to read in the 2nd section.

This code was courtesy of my friend Sue Argue

Staging for the holidays is a great idea especially in parts of the country where things slow down at that time of year.

That's a great ad for Staging professional - it is always nice to see Craig's List used to it's potential and it appears as if you have found your own little niche here.  Good luck to all who take advantage of this.

Have a Blessed Day,

George - As always, you always write very good and creative if I might add posts that are very helpful to people like me. By the way,I have taken your advice on writing a ad different from what everybody else write from one of your posts like two weeks ago? Sorry I can't remember the name of your post. But so far today,I got a telephone call ( The person is working on her credit ) and five leads -ALL OF THEM TODAY. I don't know if they are solid or not,but it is a start. I'll definitely let you know how it turns out. Thanks again for always helping and encouraging me with your posts. Great post.

Oh I was going to say that I going to try and write an ideal ad like the one you wrote to hopefully get a home stager to stage somebody's house. Hopefully,it can lead to some good leads and referrals. Great post.

George - You are a great friend to stagers and the industry as a whole.  You just plain get it that we help real estate professionals do what they do best, sell homes.

As usual.... good advice!  I have used Craig's List numerous times, both posting stuff and finding stuff.

Someone let Sue out of the basement please!

Sue - there you are, finally! Send me your coordinate points and I will send in the rescue troops :) What would that be? A PC for AR, some Vino and a massaging executive office chair!

Good to know you are alive. Thanks George for helping...

George...Thanks for the reminder.  I used Craig's List in the past and didn't receive any response.  I will persevere and try, try again.

Kathleen

P.S.  OK, I'll admit...I only used it ONCE in the past.  How have I been able to stay in real estate for so many years when I give up so easily.  Must be REGA, my Real Estate Guardian Agent, to the rescue.

Maria - I understand my friend...just tuck the idea away.

Kathleen - LOL, keep at it and be diligent and creative!
