Many of us are constantly bombarded with phone calls from telemarketers that guarantee us front page placement with Google and other popular search engines. My advice to you is to say "No Way!"
I have a good friend here in our market area that received such a call earlier this year and she made the huge mistake of paying the telemarketer $300 to have her website come up on the first page of Google. What ended up happening is that her site definitely came up on the front page of Google for about 3 months and then it disappeared from Google for good. That's right, her site disappeared and she found out the "Black Hat" methods had been used to rank her site high and these methods subsequently caused her site to be banned by Google.
