In mid 2006 RE/MAX International launched a program targeted at matching military spouses with real estate positions either in sales, administration or other related fields. To date the program has included almost 1,000 RE/MAX Brokers and has attracted the attention of 500 military installations which are involved in the program.
Known as "Operations RE/MAX" the program has received nation wide attention. The trade magazine Military Spouse awarded RE/MAX 3rd place for it's innovative employment program.
Spouses who would like to have more information on Operation RE/MAX should contact the Spouse Employment Office or Family Center at their military installation. They also can log on to www.military.com/spouse or send e-mail inquiries directly to operationremax@remax.net.
I have to say that as a RE/MAX Realtor I am proud of RE/MAX International for it's involvement in this worthwhile program. Many don't realize the impact wars have on spouses and the way it can change their life. Many spouses end up becoming the main wage earners in the family. A program even as small as this offer by RE/MAX International is a huge step in the right direction.
Kudos to RE/MAX International!

Carol - Thank you...I am very proud of the work RE/MAX has done with this program. Have a wonderful evening.
George, I am so glad you posted on this. It is such a fabulous program. I heard about it at International in Atlanta this past March. To hear Dave speak about his passion for the soldiers was a tear jerker.
There was a soldier there with his family back from Iraq and he shared how Remax had found him a job, a house etc. They stuck with him. Many soldiers who leave have nothing when they come home. The businessmen have really stepped up to hire these hero's.
I am always interested to hear about help for military families. I work with many of these families and I respect them so much for their dedication and service. They really make a lot of sacrifices.
Pamela - You are very welcome my friend
Missy - Thank you my friend. Have a great day.
Cynthia - Thanks for your coment and take care.
Missy I think what you commented on an the Operation RE/MAX are two different things.
Operation RE/MAX is for Spouses getting help becoming RE/MAX Agents. The other is Sentinels of Freedom www.sentinelsoffreedom.org this is a program that helps injured solders get back on their feet and back to being civilians. The idea is to help get them a job, housing, and transportation. This is a another great way RE/MAX is giving back to the community.
George, Being military brats (infantry colonel) anything good for the military and it's independents is a very good thing to do. Especially in these times.
Yes, you were right, your post the other day triggered our crest charade. It was an analogy we'd been using for some time, and we pretty much started writing it the second we left you. It seemed to work, and it was a great feeling for us to see people appreciate something triggered by you, and embellished by us. Thanks for all of it, and for taking your time to comment too.
