Meta Tag Analyser - Get Your Tags In Order!

A friend of mine...yes I do have one friend...LOL  just shared a phenomenal site with me.  My friend and NEW  AR member Robin Lehmann is very much into technology and is building a website right now for her business in Florida.  Robin just joined Active Rain today so please give her a visit and say hello...she is one awesome lady!

Robin emailed me Meta Tag Analyser which is amazing and very easy to use.  When you log onto this site a window will open up.  In the first window you type in the domain name of the web site you want to check.  The only other box you need to do anything with is the box that asks for a code which is given to you.

What happens next will amaze you.  It will show you the break down of your entire website in easy to read ENGLISH!   When I ran a test on my site it told me my Description was too long which contained 271 characters.  My own web company didn't even tell me this!  I went in and shortened my description ASAP.

The site will check your:

  • Title
  • Description
  • Keywords
  • Robots
  • Author

Of each page and checks for errors and makes recommendations as it did for me. It also has a link to a site that will make recommendations of what key words you need to use to draw traffic to your site.

I've used this one before, I believe.  It's been a while so I checked again and got pretty good grades!  Thanx for the reminder.  It's smart to check up after tinkering to make sure things are the best they can be!
