I purchased 5 of my local cities from a wonderful lead generation company in 2005 that been incredible. I get leads that say they are ready to either buy "ASAP", in "3 months", "6 months" etc. I call every lead I receive immediately and my conversion rate as been very high.
Today I received an email from a California buyer that wants to buy 6 months from now. I immediately emailed the buyer, waited about 15 minutes and then called her. When the buyer answered the phone I explained who I was and mentioned I had just emailed her.
The buyer replied by saying "Yes I recieved your email and THANK YOU for calling me. I have logged on to at least 6 different sites over the past month and entered my information on each. I had about given up when I logged onto this site today that took me to you. You are the first Realtor to reply to me and you are going to be my Realtor. I don't understand why those other Realtors didn't bother to email me or call me."
This isn't the first time this has happened. I have had several buyers tell me this since I purchased my lead generating site in 2005. It has not only happened with lead generating sites. I have also had buyers tell me they emailed a Realtor directly from the Realtors website and have never heard from them.
Wow! How can it be that many Realtors don't take web leads seriously? We pay good money to develop our personal web sites and some of us pay a lot of money for lead generation sites and for us not to answer these leads is like throwing money down the drain. Many of these lead are money in the bank.
Yes I know the 80/20 rule is now closer to 90/10 in most markets but I didn't realize so many agents are not taking the web and web leads seriously. Please tell me I'm dreaming!
